Lammet & Grisen

is located in the sun-drenched northern Öland and serves whole roasted lamb and pig. The meat is carved by our chefs in the restaurant, and guests can choose their sides from various side tables. Of course, there are also vegetarian/vegan options available.

Experienced troubadours entertain guests every evening, from opening to closing.

On the roof, there is a lovely terrace with a view over the Ölandic alvar where our guests can enjoy a drink before or after their meal.

Open

The restaurant is open in the evenings, and our general opening days are Monday to Saturday.

Job Responsibilities

To work with us, you must have a sense of order and be full of energy. You have a cheerful demeanor and enjoy working with people. We will train you, but it is a plus if you have worked in a restaurant/café before. We have many guests, between 400-900 guests per evening, so the job involves a fast pace.

You will prepare the restaurant for the evening, e.g., cleaning, wiping tables, etc. Clearing plates, cutlery, and glasses, ensuring that the tables are kept clean and tidy. Get the tables ready for the next seating. Everyone working in the dining room is also responsible for ensuring that all glasses are washed and polished. We work as a team where everyone helps each other.

Staff Meals, Community

Since our start in 1969 on Öland, the shared moment with delicious staff meals has been a given. Pappa Bengan's idea feels obvious today. “If you want to work well, you must eat well.” Even after 50 years, it is a very important moment before the evening. Staff and owners sit together in a relaxed “pre-chat” before the evening. The chefs take turns having the honorable task of creating well-prepared dishes from good ingredients, focusing on variety, taste, and health.

Accommodation

We have Nybygården. A former guesthouse with the main house, the annex, the courtyard house, the cabin, and a large garden for volleyball and outdoor hanging out. A true summer idyll! The beach at Nyby is only 2 km away, and the nearest grocery store is 1 km away.
